Whilst I have been told I was a creative child, many years of financially driven career choices saw any once perceived creative talents well & truly suppressed.
An unforeseen opportunity to embark on a career change (that is a nice way of saying I was made redundant) gave rise to my discovery of digital photography & I quickly developed a love of the medium.
My first exhibition of Artistic Nudes, 'Clothed in Shadow', explored the concept of chiarscurro; the tonal contrasts of light and darkness.
This treatment of light as it plays across the body; highlighting sensual contours, concealing secrets, often abstracted from the reality of their true form show great strength in the vulnerability of this stylistic portrayal of the human form.
